FLIGHTS
You will fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), and flights for November of 2026 will begin to be released in January of 2026.
While the room does have to be booked through the travel advisors, you are more than welcome to book flights on your own and use any points, miles, etc., that you may have.
Please ensure that the name on your plane ticket matches the name on your passport exactly.

PASSPORTS
Blue Passport Books are required for international air travel to the Dominican Republic. Passport Cards are not valid for flights and will result in denied entry.
If you need to renew or apply for a passport, we recommend starting that process early to avoid any delays.

Marisa + Joseph have secured a room block for their guests at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. Book early to secure your spot with only a $200 deposit.
There is a 3 night minimum for all wedding group stays at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, and please note that this resort requires that all guests attending the wedding stay on property and book into the couple’s room block.
If you choose to book outside of the room block, there is a $300 per person fee to attend the wedding events. This is a resort-imposed fee paid directly to Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, not a fee from Here and Away Travel.
When we say “room block,” we are referring to a group of rooms being held at a locked-in rate. Booking within the block also protects you from potential oversold resort situations. Resorts do sometimes oversell in anticipation of cancellations, which can result in guests being moved to another hotel. Booking into the group block prevents this.
Booking into the room block also provides you with our full support at no additional cost. This includes pre-travel guidance, travel assistance, and in-destination support should any unexpected issues arise. If you choose to book outside the room block and not through Here and Away Travel, we are unable to assist with travel-related needs or emergencies.
What a room block is not:
A room block is not a physical grouping of rooms located together. Guests arrive and depart on different dates, and room categories are located throughout the resort. We are happy to request that rooms be placed near friends or family, but these requests cannot be guaranteed. If staying near another group is important, we recommend reserving a suite together.

Kara + John have organized a room block for all of their wedding guests. In order to be considered a part of the wedding group, you must book your rooms using our room reservation form. Those who book sooner will have a greater selection of rooms.
Final payments will be due on or before July 1st, 2026.
Step One: To reserve your room, please fill out the reservation form. Only one person from each room should complete the form, but you will need all guest information to do so.
Important Note About Travel Insurance (Please Read Carefully):
If you would like the cost of travel protection added to your invoice, please select: “Yes! Show me the insurance cost.” An updated invoice will then be sent that includes your room cost and insurance.
By approving your invoice, you are authorizing Here and Away Travel to charge your deposit and the cost of insurance to your card. Once travel protection is charged, it cannot be removed or refunded.
If you review your invoice and decide not to purchase insurance, do not approve it. Simply email us and request a revised invoice that includes only the hotel cost.
Declining Travel Protection:
If you choose “No,” you acknowledge that there are no refunds for any reason and that you will not have medical coverage while traveling internationally unless you secure it separately. Insurance must be purchased at the time of deposit to receive full benefits.
Booking Process:
Your room will be held with a $200 deposit. If you choose travel insurance, that amount will also be due at the time of deposit. You may make additional payments interest-free at any time.
Once you complete the reservation form, we will send an invoice for you to review and approve before anything is charged.
If you would like to make additional payments later, simply request a payment link and you may pay any amount at any time.
Airport Transfers:
Round trip shared group transfers are available and can be added on the reservation form. These are either $60 per person round trip, or $120 round trip for up to 4 passengers traveling on the exact same flights.
If you are traveling with others on the same flights, let us know and we can split the cost between reservations (must be done 75+ days before travel).
Flight information must be submitted at least 60 days before travel or transfers will be canceled without refund.
INSURANCE + CANCELLATIONS
ALL RESERVATIONS IN THE GROUP ARE FULLY NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER JULY 1ST, 2026 WITHOUT INSURANCE.
Here and Away Travel STRONGLY recommends that you purchase travel insurance, especially when traveling internationally. We highly recommend travel insurance not only to protect the investment on your trip (many deposits and payments within group blocks are non-refundable if you do not), but also to protect you if something unexpected happens and you need medical attention or have to go to the hospital in Mexico. Most U.S. insurance companies do not cover anything outside of the USA, which can leave you with significant medical expenses. Hospitals in Mexico will not discharge patients until all bills are paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS
Unexpected things happen — illness, work conflicts, financial stress, family emergencies, injuries during travel, etc. Travel insurance protects you when life is unpredictable. The resort’s cancellation penalties are strict and not flexible.
Please strongly consider travel insurance so that you are financially protected in all scenarios.
