OUR STORY

It’s not every day a wingman finds his love on a Wednesday night at a bar in Abilene,

Texas. However, when a 5’2’’ beautiful brunette with subpar pool skills walks in, also

fulfilling her wingman duties, God knew what He was doing. I had no idea what I was

getting myself into, and didn’t realize Maci came as a joint package. I quickly fell in love

with not just Maci, but her 75 pound, stubby-legged, wrinkly faced English Bulldog

named Titus too. After a few months, I knew I wanted to make her mine. One of our

favorite things to do while we were in college was to climb onto her roof and watch the

night sky. So, as I contemplated how I could ask her in a special way, it struck me that

this could be the perfect opportunity to ask Maci to be my girlfriend. It felt like it was

written in the stars!

While I spent the latter part of my schooling at Hardin-Simmons University and played

baseball, Maci tirelessly spent her time studying for countless radiology tests. Even in

the midst of a demanding schedule, Maci always made time to make my games, even if

it was on the other side of Texas. Her boundless support is a true testament to the

person Maci is. If we weren’t at a baseball field or hanging out with our friends, Maci

and I spent our free time taking walks around ACU, making family trips to the lake, or

traveling to Waco to see my family.

I knew Maci was the one long before I would propose, but after I finished my senior year

of college, I knew it was time to take the next step. For someone who’s list of strengths

does not include planning, trying to organize a time where both sides of the family could

be in one place at one time without Maci knowing seemed terrifying. But with many

thanks to the help of Maci’s parents and my parents, we were able to organize the

perfect night at the rooftop of the Branch & Bird in Fort Worth. Maci had no idea that I

was proposing that night, but she also had no idea how nervous I was. I have been

nervous for many different sporting events throughout my life, but never in my life have I

been more nervous than when I proposed.

As I pursue my career in software sales and Maci prepares to graduate as a radiology

tech, Titus continues to take plenty naps. We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter

of our lives together! We have been blessed to have the best support system and

wonderful friends to share life with. We can’t wait for our wedding day, November 1,

2025. We hope to see you in Cabo Mexico!
