We are Jess + Jayme of Here and Away Travel, and we are honored to be assisting Angela + Shawn with their destination wedding at Hard Rock Riviera Maya in Mexico.

Guests will fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Flights for June 2027 will begin being released by the airlines in August 2026, with additional flight schedules becoming available over the following months.
While your resort reservation must be booked through Here and Away Travel, you are absolutely welcome to book your own flights and use any airline points, miles, travel credits, or companion certificates you may have.
Please be sure that the name on your airline reservation matches your passport exactly, including any middle names or initials if applicable. Even small discrepancies can cause issues when traveling internationally.

A valid U.S. Passport Book is required for international air travel. Passport Cards are not valid for international flights and cannot be used to fly to Mexico.
If you need to apply for or renew your passport, we recommend beginning the process as early as possible to allow plenty of time before your trip.

There is a three-night minimum stay for all reservations booked within the wedding room block.
Hard Rock Riviera Maya requires that all guests attending the wedding events book their accommodations within Angela + Shawn's official wedding room block.
When we refer to the "room block," we simply mean a collection of guest rooms being held exclusively for Angela + Shawn's wedding guests at a contracted group rate. Booking within the room block also helps protect you from potential oversold resort situations. Resorts occasionally oversell their inventory in anticipation of cancellations, which can sometimes result in guests being relocated to another hotel. Guests booked within the official wedding block are protected from this possibility.
Booking through the room block also includes our complimentary travel services from Here and Away Travel. We're here to assist you before, during, and after your trip with everything from travel guidance and documentation to support while you're in Mexico should anything unexpected arise.
A room block does not mean that everyone's rooms are physically located together. Guests arrive and depart on different dates, and room categories are spread throughout the resort. We are always happy to request that friends and family be located near one another whenever possible, but room location requests will NEVER be guaranteed by the resort. If being close together is especially important, we recommend reserving a suite together, as this is the only way to guarantee close proximity.
Angela + Shawn have organized a room block for all of their wedding guests. In order to be considered a part of the wedding group, you must book your rooms using our room reservation form. Those who book sooner will have a greater selection of rooms.
Final payments will be due on or before March 8th, 2027.
Step One: To reserve your room, please fill out the reservation form. Only one person from each room should complete the form, but you will need all guest information to do so.
Important Note About Travel Insurance (Please Read Carefully):
If you would like the cost of travel protection added to your invoice, please select: “Yes! Show me the insurance cost.” An updated invoice will then be sent that includes your room cost and insurance.
By approving your invoice, you are authorizing Here and Away Travel to charge your deposit and the cost of insurance to your card. Once travel protection is charged, it cannot be removed or refunded.
If you review your invoice and decide not to purchase insurance, do not approve it. Simply email us and request a revised invoice that includes only the hotel cost.
Declining Travel Protection
If you choose “No,” you acknowledge that there are no refunds for any reason and that you will not have medical coverage while traveling internationally unless you secure it separately. Insurance must be purchased at the time of deposit to receive full benefits.
Booking Process
Your room will be held with a $200 deposit. If you choose travel insurance, that amount will also be due at the time of deposit. You may make additional payments interest-free at any time.
Once you complete the reservation form, we will send an invoice for you to review and approve before anything is charged.
If you would like to make additional payments later, simply request a payment link and you may pay any amount at any time.
Group shared round-trip airport transfers are available for $225 per reservation for guests traveling on the EXACT same flights.
If guests staying in the same room are on different flights, a transfer will need to be booked for each flight itinerary.
Flight details must be submitted no later than April 22nd, 2027. Any transfers without flight information received by this date will be cancelled without refund.
Please note that all guests must be listed on the transfer manifest in advance. The transfer company is very strict and will not allow guests who are not listed to join another group's transfer vehicle.
Insurance + Cancellations
All reservations in the group become fully non-refundable after March 8th, 2027 without insurance.
Here and Away Travel STRONGLY recommends that you purchase travel insurance, especially when traveling internationally. We highly recommend travel insurance not only to protect the investment on your trip, but also to protect you if something unexpected happens and you need medical attention or have to go to the hospital out of the country. Most U.S. insurance companies do not cover anything outside of the USA, which can leave you with significant medical expenses. Hospitals will not discharge patients until all bills are paid in full.
Cancellations
Unexpected things happen. Illness, work conflicts, financial stress, family emergencies, injuries during travel, and more. Travel insurance protects you when life is unpredictable. The resort's cancellation penalties are strict and not flexible. Please note that Here and Away Travel has NO ability to override the resort's implemented penalties, and emergencies are not a reason for an exception—that is exactly the situation that travel insurance is necessary for.
Please strongly consider travel insurance so that you are financially protected in all scenarios.
We cannot stress enough how important travel insurance is, especially when it comes to medical coverage while traveling outside of the United States.
In many international destinations, hospitals and medical providers require full payment prior to administering treatment, regardless of the severity of the situation. Costs can escalate quickly, even for routine care.
In the event of a serious medical emergency, services such as emergency medical evacuation back to the United States ALONE can exceed $75,000 or more, and must often be arranged and paid for upfront.
At minimum, emergency medical coverage is VERY strongly recommended.
Even if you choose not to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance plan, we strongly, strongly encourage securing an emergency medical policy for the duration of your trip. This ensures you have access to care without the burden of significant expenses that will not be covered by your US policies.
You may also call us—we will always return calls within 24 hours. If you do not hear back within 24 hours, please send a follow-up email. We travel frequently for destination weddings, and while we remain available, calls and voicemails may not always come through immediately. If you call and would like a return call, please be sure to leave a voicemail.
